Horse Stall advice Triple B Stalls By: Jen18

Horse stalls come in three ways. They come in a kit. A builder comes to your house and builds it for you. Or the panels come pre assembled in wall sections already made and ready to go. Be aware of purchasing a kit that requires more assembly than most people are capable of doing. Or for that fact inclined to do. Some of the kits that are readily available from the larger online stores have many parts that are designed to fit everyone's application. This is simply not possible in many cases due to the fact that all applications are different. Some people have metal exterior walls which are not appropriate for a horse. You may have low ceilings or beams that run across your barn. Different elevations in ground level. The list goes on and on. An important rule that goes a long, long way is if your ground is not level a horse stall kit is NOT for you. Either level the ground completely, buy a pre assembled panel that is already structurally sound. Or have a builder assemble the stalls for you.
A very important factor to consider is the material. Almost all manufacturers claim that their powder coated and galvanized horse stalls are the most excellent thing since sliced bread. This is all great, but have you ever seen a powder coated or galvanized stall after one year. In most cases the stall has been chipped or scratched. This results in rust. And once rust has started it will not stop until it has covered every last surface of the stall. If at all possible try to find a stall manufacturer that uses aluminum grills and parts over powder coated and galvanized ones. Aluminum will never rust even if it is kicked or run into. Since it has no covering it is perfect for the acidic nature of a horse stall.
